and directions to invoke vaisva DevA: ( Sarva DevA: , whose antharyAmi is the
Lord ). There are 22 Balis to be invoked
and parishEcahnams . Pathni has to remove Pithru Bali and Rudra Bhali.

Food is a gift from God and it should be
treated with great respect. The physical
body is called annamayakosh or the food body because it is nourished by food
and grows by
Those who prepare food for their selfish ends
eat but only sins. (Bhagavad Gita 3:13)
All beings come into existence from food. Food comes from rains. Rains originate from the performance of sacrifices. Sacrifice is born out of doing prescribed
duties (BG 3:14)
He who nourished neither the god nor a friend,
he who eats alone, gathers sin (Rig Veda X. 117).
Any rajasic or tamasic substances or qualities
hidden in food will not do any harm to us if food is offered to god and five
vital breaths because the blessing of god and devas will nullify any bad
effects in the food.
