DO’s AND DON’Ts IN DAY TO DAY LIFE - PART 21

GUEST
When we go and meet elders we should take something useful to them or  their house.
For the temple we have to take flowers and fruits.
For meeting teacher go take some eatables and when meeting a King take a suitable offering.  We should not go bare hand  when meeting any of them.
Giving charity to a poor man or arranging for worship or cremeating an orphans
body or bhagavaths is like performing Aswamedha Sacrifice..
Don’t  sleep with head facing North or on broken cot or in a dilapidated house.
Should not wake up the one who is sleeping.
Don’t kick or beat cow.

LECTURE
Listen to upanyasams and kalakshebams. For srivaishnavas, these are considered as the way to spend the time usefully and also to make our faith very strong. This is actually parama bhogyam (very much more enjoyable) also, when we have the ‘ruchi’/taste for it compared to all other forms of entertainment such as movies, dramas, sports, politics, etc.

LIFE
Morning sun light falling on the body.  Smoke of corpse, love with older woman, drinking turbid water, eating curd at night would reduce the life span.

Evening sun light falling on our body, The smoke from Homa touching our body, love making with woman younger to us, Drinking pure water and eating rice mixed with milk at night will increase our life span.

Helping sick person, regularity in taking food, performing of Oupasana, doing Namaskarams to elders will  increases the life span.
