SIGNIFICANCE OF NUMBER 9 - SERIES 1

·            Cosmic dance of Lord Siva has 108 poses  thus making 108 as the unit of creation.

·            108 symbolishes the numerical equivalent of ‘AUM”. Addition of digits = 9

                  

1     stands for Supreme truth or God Consciousness      i.e., the oneness of Brahman

0     stands for nothing or emptiness or void  without Brahmam everything is sunya

8    stands for eternity or Infinity ( rotate 8 by 90degrees you will get the symbol of          

       infinity –  The universe, his  creation, his powers, his love etc cannot be measured.

*    According to Indian mythology, there are 4 Yugs               
Satyug - consists of 17 28 000 years (1+7+2+8)= 18 = (1+8 = 9)  
TretaYug consists of 12 96 000 years (1+2+9+6)=18 = (1+8 = 9)  
DwaparYug consists of 8 64 000 years (8+4+6)  =18 = (1+8 = 9)   
Kaliyug consists of 4 32 000 years (4+3+2) = 9          

Since i have started with Yugas  I will for the time being deviate and go into some more aspect of Yugam,

Time taken for blinking is the basic measure	18 such measure make one Kaashtta	30 Kaashttaas make one Kala
30 Kalaas make one Muhoortham (roughly equal to 48 minutes or 2 Naazhikai)	30 Muhoorthams consist of a day	15 days make one Paksham
2 pakshams make a month	2 months constitute 1 Ritu	3 Ritus make one Ayanam
2 Ayanams make a year, by human standards	1 human year = 1 day for Devas	360 divine days =  1 divine year
4800 divine years = 17 28 000 human years = 1 Krita Yugam	3600 divine years = 12 96 000 human years = 1 Treta Yugam	2400 divine years = 8 64 000 human years = 1 Dwaapara Yugam
1200 divine years = 4 32 000 human years = 1 Kali Yugam	4 Yugams = 1 Chatur Yugam = 43 20 000 human years = 1 divya yugam	71 divya yugam = 1 Manvantra = 71*4.32 million = 306.72 million years
1 Manvantra Juncture (sandhya =interval between manvantras ) =1.728 million years	1 day time of Brahma = 14 Manvantras + 15 Junctures(sandhya) = [(14*306.72)+(15*1.728)] =4.32 billion years	1 Maha Kalpa = [1 day time of Brahma (4,32b * 2(day and night) * 30 (days in month) * 12 (months in year) * 100 (100years) = 311.04 trillion human years
