SMALL SLOKA SERIES - EARLY MORNING SLOKA-1-KARAAGREVASTE

This sloka is  to  be recited in the morning before getting up from bed. Recite this sloka with closed eyes and open and see palm of your both hands when you chant ‘karadarshanam.

कराग्रे वसते लक्ष्मिः करमध्ये सरस्वति ।
करमूले स्थिता गौरी : प्रभाते करदर्शनम् ॥

Karaagre Vasate Lakssmih Karamadhye Sarasvati |
Karamule stithe Gowri, Prabhaate Karadarshanam ||

கராக்ரே வஸதே லக்ஷ்மி கர மத்யே சரஸ்வதி
கரமூலே ஸ்திதா கெளரி ப்ரபாதே கரதர்சனம்

WORD BY WORD MEANING:
Kara=hand; agra=tip; agre=at the tip; vasate=lives; lakshmi=Goddess of wealth; madhye=in the middle; saraswati=Goddess of education and learning; moola=base/corner; mooletu=at the base; Gouri= Goddess of valour ; prabhate=early in the morning; darshanah=appearance

We usually pray all the three Goddesses together and especially during Navaratri festival.  Oh!  God  please grant me all the three blessings and this day be a good day for me and all.
