SIGNIFICANCE OF NUMBER - 9 SERIES 7

*** Astro Numerology and Nava (#9)
In Indian numerology number nine is considered as a very powerful number.  Mars is its ruling planet which is planet of dynamic energy, initiative and impulse to accomplish great deeds. It represents heat, fire, energy, success and continuation of activities.  It is also a planet of strife, war, and destruction. It bestows high ambition, creative abilities, robust health, strength, power, courage, strong will power, determination, initiative to undertake risky ventures  etc.

*** Nava Rasas.   Nine moods (navarasas)
Srungaara (beauty/love); Haasya (mirth); Karuna (compassion); Roudra (anger); Veera (courage/heroism); Bhayaanaka (fearful); Adbhuta (astonishment); Bheebhatsa (disgust); Saantha (tranquility) are nine forms of emotions expressed by human beings according to situations. These passions form the basic factors depicted by the artiste in all types of Indian classical dance like Bharatha naatya; Kuchipudi; Odissi etc.

*** Lord kubera is described as in possession of nine types of wealth.  Kubera Chakra is a typical 3 x 3 square. It is an extension of  Lo shu square (numbers 1-9 used in 3 x 3 square just that total of three squares comes to 15 in any direction) where 19 is added to the respective numbers of Lo Shu square  such that 72 comes if we add any 3 squares in any straight line directions.

*** Jambudweepa is in the centre of Bhoomandala divided into nine regions known as Varshas. They are Bharatha Varsha; Ilaavrutha Varsha; Bhadraaswa Varsha; Hari Varsha; Kethumaala Varsha; Ramyaka Varsha; Hiranmaya Varsha; Uttara Kuru Varsha; and Kimpurusha Varsha.  This is the system some sastrigal in America follow for sankalpam also.  But whether it is correct or not I do not know and there is another version also which is also given in the blog.

*** All other lists of 108 unfold from Purusha (Sun) and Prakritti (Moon). For example, in Ayurveda there are a 108 marmas in the body. They are points that can heal or kill a living being. They are considered the points where consciousness connects to the body, where Purusha (consciousness) is brought into Prakritti (body) to give life to the living being (both humans and animals have these points). The 108 intersections on the Sri Chakra again relate to this numbers ability invoke the balance of Purusha and Prakritti and the primordial ability of the rishi to see both clearly.

*** Our eyes can see upto 3 dimensions. Multiply the powers of each dimension.
See the multiplication result of powers of first three integers to its own .i.e, 1power 1 =1, 2power2=4, 3power 3=27   AND 1 x 4 x 27 =108 again 1+0+8=9.  You may try for any three consecutive integers.

*** Approximately we breathe 15 times in a minute and in 1 hour we breathe 900 times. If we keep 12 hours for doing our own duties and 12 hours allotted to God for praying, during 12 hours (first half of a day) we breathe 900*12=10800 times.  The sum of the integers add upto 9.

Breath: Tantra estimates the average number of breaths per day at 21,600, of which 10,800 are solar energy, and 10,800 are lunar energy. Multiplying 108 by 100 is 10,800. Multiplying 2 x 10,800 equals 21,600.  That is we get 100 percent result.
