DO’s AND DON’Ts IN DAY TO DAY LIFE - PART 2

Please refer to my posting in November 2011 about Samskarangal wherein it has been stated that there are 48 (40 + 8) ‘Samaskarangal’.   A gist of the some of the ‘samskarangal’ was written at that time and later I that some more topic may be included before attempting to go in detail about each.   People used to do all their duties earlier but slowly they are leaving one by one and more questions are asked than to obey the rules and procedures.   Now there is no duty performed for each varna and all of them are doing all the work.  They have to look for earning, better living and save for future and providing better opportunities for children. People also wonder if all samskaras  and nithykarmanustangal are possible to do and ask which one is most important, whether they would be able to do and what are all the samsakaras which are not possible now-a-days.

I am attempting to tell something more detail. If we are able to tell which samskara is not possible to do and which one is most important etc then there is no use as people will tend to add more items to the list of  ‘not able to’ and it will go against Srutis and Smrits.  Hence there is no excuse and atleast after retirement one should not always go after money by seeking extension of employment, alternate  jobs , other avenues etc.

Atleast after retirement and certain age we shoud learn to practice the various duties enshrined on Brahmins and follow.  There should always a desire, interest and involment to learn and follow.  The ultimate aim is  which every one is desired of and Samskarangal is nothing but an act and regulation to do certains things in a certain manner.  Our forefathers and Rishis are great and they saw the good things through their tapas, devotion, meditation, bhakti and love for God.

Really the procedures and various acts are tough and strict to follow.  Nothing is easy if we want to go up in the spiritual ladder too.
