First and foremost follow
the foot steps/activities of our poorvacharyas as much as we can (not as much
as we want to).
Respect other Bhaagavathaas
Irrespective of their birth, position, social status, caste etc as all devotees
of God are to be treated as GOD HIMSELF.
Bhagavath/ Bhagavatha Apacharam
happens in many ways. It us very
important that we don't commit such apacharam. Any bhagawatha apacharam is also
considered as bhagavath apacharam. LORD
likes that His devotees are to be respected than HE himself.
If suddenly a swami with
full swaroopam steps into your house when you are performing Gayathriri jabam
then you have to stop the japam where
ever it is, offer pranams to the guest. Humbly ask his permission to continue
the japam.
Someone from family even
telling the guest to wait amounts to apacharam. In all major AANHIKA GRANTHAMS, this is
stressed. In the event of any swami coming in between
your japam, bramhayagyam, thiru aaradhanam, please consider that THE ALMIGHTY
SHRIHARI (LORD) has come in his form to
accept your offering. So take his
permission to continue . On completion
again extend all upacharams ( see earlier posting) to him. Please inform all family members and inculcate small practices like these.
----------- continued in the next posting.
