Then
one has to again do ‘Snana’ for madhyanikam and do madhyanikam. After that do
pithru tharpanam for liberations of forefathers, pooja, homam in fire,
tharpanadhigal using water, for which he has to dedicate to the deities all
those objects that he perceives with his five senses(pancha indhriangal). By this one would have finished Brahma yagnam,
pithruyagnam(tharpanam), Devayagnam (pooja, homam etc). By the time he finished
all these 4 parts of the above period would have been over. In pancha-yagnam there will be two yagnams
viz., manushya yagnam and bhudayagnam which have to be performed.
In
the 5th part one has to do vaishvadeva karma. In this Agni homam,
apart from putting ‘Annam’ in the homam, some part of the annam has to be given
as bali (without being placed in the fire) and kept in different places in the house by
chanting mantras for the welfare of outcastes, beggars. After that other Jeevarasais such as dog,
crow, birds, other animals etc are to be taken care by putting annam as bali
outside the house. Similarly bali for aditis
and other devadas should be honoured.
These balis are called Budhayagnam. If athithyam
(inviting and treating guest and not Aadityam) and vaisvadevam (bali for other
jeevarasis) are done properly then unemployment, beggars, theft would come
down. By 1PM all these would be over.
Then only a Brahmin can take meals.
If required one can have butter milk
or milk in between. These are daily
rituals. On some days we may have to do some
sacrificial homas or yagnams which may take some more time. If one has to perform Shradham then this may
also take some time and only after doing shradham, poojas for deities etc has
to be done. In such cases he has to take
food only after this.
